ASTROLOGY

Astrology simply put is the study of the correlation between the astronomical positions of the planets and events on earth. Astrologers believe that the positions of the Sun, Moon, and planets at the time of a person’s birth have a direct influence on that person’s character. These positions are thought to affect a person’s destiny, although many Astrologers feel that free will plays a large role in any individual’s life.

While we can use the natal chart (also called a birth chart or horoscope) as a “window” into any individual or event, we should never use it to pass judgment or to label people. Neither should we use it as an excuse for our behavior! We can never purport to know absolutely everything about someone just because we have their natal chart before us. It is a good idea to approach Astrology as an imperfect language. Even if it were perfect, we are not, so our interpretations can never be considered anywhere close to perfect. It follows to be wary of anyone claiming to be an Astrologer who also alleges to “know all”, or makes dire predictions. This kind of practice is not only irresponsible and misleading, it can affect the lives of those who believe them in adverse ways

Astrology has been dated to at least the 2nd millennium BCE, and has its roots in calendrical systems used to predict seasonal shifts and to interpret celestial cycles as signs of divine communications. Many cultures have attached importance to astronomical events, and some – such as the IndiansChinese, and Maya – developed elaborate systems for predicting terrestrial events from celestial observations. Western astrology, one of the oldest astrological systems still in use, can trace its roots to 19th–17th century BCE Mesopotamia, from which it spread to Ancient GreeceRome, the Arab worldand eventually Central and Western Europe. Contemporary Western astrology is often associated with systems of horoscopes that purport to explain aspects of a person's personality and predict significant events in their lives based on the positions of celestial objects; the majority of professional astrologers rely on such systems.

As a Psychic Medium, I use Astrology as a tool to see patterns in my clients’ lives, help them to determine when the best time to do things are, and to understand what are the opportunities for growth coming in the near future. Astrology is a science that requires much knowledge and skill when working on charts and data. Ultimately, it is only a tool to help clients navigate their own lives. The client holds the power with their free will to do what they feel is right in the moment. Astrology can give you tools to understand what is likely to occur, or what to be prepared for. As my teacher and the famous Astrologer Chris McRae stated “To be aware is to be forearmed”.
